Join forces with us this month as we collaborate with Heartland Soles in a walk or run 40 miles in the Month of May Challenge! There will be both a walking and running division to the event so grab some of your favorite gym shoes from Heartland Soles and challenged in May YOU will be!

As the weather begins to warm up, we will be holding some of our Live Group Exercise Classes outside!!! You won’t know until you arrive so be ready!!

May the wellness be with YOU this month!  As the weather continues to get nicer we look forward to our members being able to incorporate both indoor and outdoor activities into their workouts again.  There are so many ways to enjoy all Thrive gym has to offer: so whether it be a bike ride to the gym for one of our delicious smoothies or a HIIT class outside with one of our certified instructors we look forward to helping you meet your wellness goals while still having time to stop and enjoy the May flowers!

Thrive Gym Kids Care Update: OPEN

Thrive Kids Care is back and better than ever through a promotion of movement and wellness for even our littlest members. We can’t wait to share our class format with your children to ensure the whole family’s health is benefited by your visit to Thrive Gym. We added a child size smoothie to our menu so both you and your children can benefit from a post workout treat!

Sliding Lunges

Bend your right leg while sliding the left foot backward into a lunge position. Keep the front knee behind the toe and keep the back leg slightly bent. Slowly slide the left foot back to start, pushing into the plate, and repeat for 8–12 reps before switching sides.

Sliding reverse lunge – an effective variation of the traditional reverse lunge that I personally like. Using sliders is a great way to build stability and strength in your quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, hip flexors and calves. You will also get some added benefits of core strengthening. As your core has to stay engaged throughout the movement.

  • How To Choose and Play a Class
    • Click on the ‘Videos’ tab
    • Scroll through the classes and choose which one you would like to do
    • Click on the class you would like to take
    • Class details will pop up and you are able to read about the class and what equipment it requires
    • Click on the play button in the middle of the screen and the class will start on the TV

Spring Snack 🙂 – Frozen Fruit Kabobs

Perfect way cool down on a warm day!

Ingredients

  • grapes
  • strawberries
  • banana
  • chocolate (melted)
  • skewers

Instructions:

  • skewer the fruit
  • drizzle with chocolate
  • freeze on baking sheet for 1-2 hours or until frozen
